Event FAQ:
Can we come in early and clean up when reservation time ends?
Please ensure that you include all setup and clean up time within the amount of time booked. Your time starts when the first vendor arrives and your time ends when the last person related to your event leaves, meaning that you’ll want to book enough time to avoid the late fees.
What is your max capacity?
Each space has different capacities based on the type of event. Give us a call at 469-544-6960 or shoot us an email to discuss details!
Can we come set up the night before?
If you’d like to set up the night before, you can book the space for the amount of time needed to setup at the end of day.
What do we do with the furniture we aren’t using or don’t want in the space?
Unfortunately, we do not have a storage area to stow away all unwanted props in the space. We can, however, move the smaller items out of the space (chairs, stools, etc.) but the larger items (tables, and rolling backdrops) must stay in the space.
Are food and drinks allowed?
Yes! You’re more than welcome to bring in any food or drink into the space. We ask that you follow TABC guidelines when it comes to alcohol in the space and please keep all food and drinks inside the space.
What happens if we go over our time?
The guest that books the space will be assessed a late fee. The late fee is calculated by how many minutes past the original reservation the last party or guest associated with the event leaves the space. The rate is $10/minute. For example, if your event is from 5-10pm, every minute you and/or someone related to your event is in the space past 10pm is an additional $10. Last guest leaves at 10:29pm? That means the late fee is $290 (29 minutes multiplied by $10). Last vendor picks up their items at 10:08pm? The late fee in this same scenario would be $80 (8 minutes multiplied by $10). The card on file will be charged the late fee the following day.
Where do we park?
Parking instructions will come with the corresponding space upon booking.
How large are the spaces?
The Plano space is 1600 square feet including a bathroom and wet bar.
The Dallas White space is 1300 square feet
The Dallas Lifestyle space is 1200 square feet
The Fort Worth Galveston Ave space is 1000 square feet
Events cannot be held in our Fort Worth College Ave location
Do you have speakers?
Yes we do! It’s an Amazon Echo Show, so you’ll want to inquire about additional speakers if needed.
Can we have a DJ?
We are in a community space with another businesses next door. We ask that each renter rely on the provided speaker for sound to ensure that we do not disturb our neighbor.
Does The Lumen Room provide tables and chairs?
We offer farmhouse tables that seat 8-10 people in our Dallas and Plano spaces. Fort Worth does not have formal tables and chairs. Any additional chairs and tables will need to be brought in by the guest reserving the space.
Do you have WiFi?
Yes we do! WiFi password is provided upon arrival to the space.
